Today, we are reading Joshua 14 through 17, and I am joined in the podcast studio by faithful Watermark member, Rob Berry. Good morning, Emma. It's great to be here.

Rob, great to have you. I feel like our

paths have crossed, but I'm not sure that we've ever officially met until today. It is good to be

around a podcast table with you. You know, it is. I'm excited to hear just a little bit more about

what God's done in your life and what you're up to today. Would you mind sharing with us? Sure. Gosh, I grew up as a local boy here, one of seven kids,

and my life changed when I was dating a girl, 16, 17. Her parents were a young life leaders

led me to Christ and literally changed the trajectory of my life. And, you know, part of that,

I love that we're sitting in Joshua today because, you know, they gave me my very first Bible.

I'd never even seen a Bible. And when I opened it up, they had written a handwritten note with Joshua 1Aid in it that just said, do not let this book a lot of depart from your mouth and meditate on a day and night so that you will be prosperous and successful.

And I, as somebody who grew up with not a lot of resources, I read that prosper. and meditate on a day to night so that you will be prosperous and successful.

And I, as somebody who grew up with not a lot of resources, I read that prosperous and, you know,

successful when I was so excited.

And it just took me a couple decades to realize that prosperity and success has to do with exactly what we're talking about in these first five books of the Bible and even

Joshua, that is where God dwells with his people and with you and he's present with you and

wants to lead you. That is what real success is and what real prosperity is. So anyway, a special place

in my heart. My life changed and Joshua's part of that getting my first Bible.

So, yeah, I've been a member here since 2007 and love being connected with this body.

Amazing.
