What is the number one mark of a child of God? Now ponder that just a moment. If you had to

boil it all down and say there is one characteristic,

one identifying factor in a person's life that is evidence that God has moved into their life,

what would that be?

I think it would be a hotly debated topic in some groups and religious circles.

People would talk about all kinds of external things and perhaps their pet thing,

their hobby of the month. But Jesus actually answered that question. Do you remember in the

gospel according to John, when Jesus said,

by this, shall all men know that you are my disciples when you have love one for another? Think about

that. He didn't say the size of your church. He didn't say the amount of money that you invest in worthy causes.

He didn't say that a certain set of rules or regulations being followed would be the

identifier.

What did he say?

The love of God in you.

Why would that be?

Because God is love.
