Would you please, to the book of Acts in your New Testament, Acts chapter number one.

And we return to this passage of scripture that describes for us really a church in transition.

It was the first church.

When you see them in Acts chapter number one, they're small, they're fearful, they're trying to figure out the future.

The shepherd is gone, and uncertainty abounds, and questions pervade, and enemies lurk.

Let's pick up right in the middle of it.

Look at Acts chapter 1, verse number 6.

When they therefore were come together. By the way, I'm glad to see all of you coming together today.

Don't stop that. Keep that up. God's people all to assemble, we need one another. We need them

encouraging and exhorting of one another. And when they come together they ask of him as jesus saying lord

wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to israel i i think their their hearts sincere

i love that word again aren't you glad god does do things again and again and again for us?

I think there's a great hopefulness in their question, but they're asking for information.

Listen to me carefully. God isn't interested in simply giving you information.

God wants to give you revelation. In other words, he doesn't just want to give you answers.

He wants you to help you to know him better.

And so they bring their question to the Lord.
