Not all evidence points to guilt.

On July 15, 1953, remains were found that sparked not just an investigation and trial,

but a whole event in which many believe that the evidence found in the case did not point to the

right killer. So if you like your coffee hot, but your bones chilled, sit back and start your day

with a morning cup of murder.

William Coffin, born October 23rd, 1915, was a mining prospector and woodsman from York

Center in Quebec, Canada. At the time, the mostly untouched area, the county of Gasp, was a

popular spot for American outdoorsmen to come and visit,

like the three men from Pennsylvania who arrived in June of 1953 and never made it back home.

Eugene Lindsay, his 17-year-old son, Richard Lindsay, and 20-year-old Frederick Clareare were last seen going into the woods to hunt.

And a month later, on July 15, 1953, human remains were found being torn apart by bears.

They would eventually learn that the shredded body belonged to Eugene Lindsay.

And just eight days later, the bodies of

Frederick Clare and Richard Lindsay, who graduated high school the day before going on this trip,

were found about 2.5 miles away. All three bodies were found about 37 miles away from the nearest town their abandoned truck was found days

before any of the bodies were found and according to the autopsies all three men likely died by

june 17th 1953 just 12 days after they embarked on their camping trip.
