I'm Emily Campano and this is the Crimes of O.J. Simpson 30 years later.

In the early 90s, Cato Caelin was an actor, model, and casting agent, working hard in Hollywood.

By 1994, he became a household name and was plastered on television screams all across the country,

but not for the reasons he wanted.

Cato was a friend of Nicole Brown-Simpsons, who had moved

onto a guest house on her property on Gretna Greenway in Los Angeles. Cato subsequently moved

into the guest house at O.J. Simpson's Rockingham Estate, which is where he was on June 12, 1994,

the day Nicole and her friend Ron Goldman were murdered.

Cato was then thrust into the spotlight as a prosecution witness in the murder trial of O.J. Simpson.

The media was quick to create a caricature of Cato, calling him America's most famous house guest,

and later, the first reality TV star.

But not many people knew the real Cato, or the kind, warm, and humble person that he remains to this day.

Today, Cato joins me to share his story, his experience testifying at the trial of the century,

and his memories of Nicole Brown Simpson.

Cato, it's been 30 years since the tragic murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman.

How does it feel for you as you look back now all these years later?

Yeah, Emma, that's a great question. And it's something that

I ponder not just because it's 30 years, but it comes to my thoughts a lot, a lot of how time

is passed. And when you say 30 years, when I talk about it in a show like yours, it seems like yesterday because it's so new and everything just comes right path to my mind.

And then the more that I talk, I remember more about that.

And I try not to remember.

I always say to people that's past and I always look to pay it for and everything in the future.
