When I stay stone monkeys, what word and what climbers come to mind?

You know, I think people hooting on the bridge. I think of like, you know, Dean Potter,

Amman McNeeley, Cedar Wright, like just a bunch of, like, kind of the new school

hooligans of Yosemite.

Were they loud?

Kind of.

I mean, actually, they weren't like that loud, but it was definitely a loud scene.

I mean, like Timmy O'Neill, you know, not that he's loud, but he definitely has a lot

to say.

I mean, and Dean is certainly not loud, really, but he's a big

presence. You know, I think that the stone monkeys weren't necessarily super loud, loud,

but they were, they were a presence that you noticed. You know, they're very noticeable. I don't

especially if you include people like the Hoobers and the Stone Monkeys, the Hoover brothers. You know, again, they're very noticeable. I don't know, especially if you include people like the Hoobers and the Stone Monkeys,

the Hooper Brothers, you know, again, they're not like loud, loud per se, but they are

very colorful personalities.

Like, you know, they, when they're on the scene, you know that they're there.

And do you think of the, the Stone Monkeys as, like, influential?

Yeah, I think Stone Monkeys are pretty influential just in what they did for climbing in Yosemite. I mean, the directions that the sport took, you know, I mean, some of the

the base jumping and the extremeness, you know, the hard aid, the doing things in a push,

basically just the way they pushed climbing.

It's interesting, speed records fall, right?

Like, that was kind of like part of the Stone Monkeys' Jam.
