Nobody looks at Sherman McCreary or Carl

as somebody important in life. they're angry and miserable and diminished throughout

their whole life.

They weren't just there to rob the store, unfortunately.

They took Sherry, kidnapped her in a vehicle, tied her hands behind her back with her

own nylon stockings, and they murdered her out in the desert.

The McCrary family were low educated,

unrified folks who got together and had something in their DNA that just caused them to be antisocial

and eventually end up being murderous.

Out there in the desert some place.

We went way back off on this little road off the highway.

We were arguing out behind the car. I told him, I said, Sherman, what are we going to do with that girl?

He said, well, she's got to die.

He says, you know, kidnapping carries the death penalty too.

So I told her, I'm just going to tie you up

so you'll be able to get loose and there's a highway about a half mile up the way

By that time will be long gone. The girl wasn't that frightened. She was

frightened, but she wasn't hysterical or anything like that.
