Nobody looks at Sherman McCreary or Carl as somebody important in life, quite the contrary.

People look at them as an absolute nobody and they feel that themselves.

And I think they probably got a sense of control and dominant when she was pleading for

her life. If I keep agitate Sherman,

I'll probably get us both killed.

So he's gonna rape her.

If I try to stop it, he'd kill me,

then rape her anyway.

I was a young idealistic cop who became a detective and I was really hopeful that he could get the death sentence and I can be there on the day when they flip the switch. Jena came in. She had been She asked Sherman, Sherman, is Forrest Ed.

So she told Sherman, you know, well, do anything you want to me,

don't kill me.

And so Sherman asked Danny, who grinned, you know,

And she, you know, she's not real shook up or, you know, this is the one thing that surprised me about it.

She wasn't at all that hysterical because under ordinary circumstances I figured that a woman that's just seen her husband shut down would be kind of hysterical.

But she wasn't. She was concerned with her own life. But we didn't have our way with her. It was I thought about it later and it was odd that we didn't. I figured Danny was going to cause she was you know she was

offering it to him flat out offering and I think that maybe that was the problem.
