Once upon a time, there lived a little drummer boy.

He didn't have much at all, only his drum

and a small sack. He wore a thin coat and his shoes had walked what should have been their

last step long ago, tired and worn they were, but the little drummer boy paid no mind.

He had vowed to bring his music far and wide, to soften the hearts of those who were

bad, to give hope to those who were sad and to bring joy to all

so he left home and went out into the world

it was winter time and very cold

the snow flew and the wind blew.

The little drummer boy was close to a town now.

He could see the lights.

So he went into the tavern and warmed his hands by the fire.

The innkeeper saw him and said,

Who are you warming your hands by the fire?

I am a drummer, sir, and I like to play for you.

Just as soon as me hands are warm, it's quite cold out.

Well, warm them then, and play, young lad.

The innkeeper replied. the little drummer boy played well into the night the music filled the hearts of the people of the town passes by came inside to hear him play. They smiled and sang and danced. When he had finished playing,
