I'm very pleased to be joined by Victor Shea. Victor, for those of you who don't know, was the youngest Biden delegate to the 2020 Democratic National Convention, not yet 18 years old.

His first election was the 2020 election. And I think as we talked this

afternoon, we'll get a perspective from Victor, how do young Americans see the world? How does the

rising generation see this moment in American politics? What's going on on campus? Is their hope,

is their optimism?

Is their pessimism?

Is their cynicism?

Thank you so much for having me.

Currently at UCLA, in one of the classrooms here.

And you are a junior at UCLA studying.

American literature and culture. How did you find your way to American literature and culture?

So I started off as a polysci major. The polycycle classes were a little bit too

theoretical and large for my liking.

So I always liked English.

I always like reading.

And so I switched to American literature and culture
