Where does music come from and why does it play such an enormous role in our lives?

In my first book The Musical Brain, I admitted that if I didn't have music I'd be certifiably

insane and I stand by it.

Music taps into the brain, the heart and the soul, like nothing else.

And today I'm thrilled to welcome to the show Mr. Wayne Altman, a US Army veteran author

and creator of Melody Clouds.

After his hearing was damaged during service in the Army, causing severe ringing in the

years, or tinnitus, Wayne experimented with sound masking and binaural beats to help ease

his symptoms.

He's here today to talk about where music comes from and how we can use music and sound

with intention to improve our mental health and performance.
