Good afternoon, everyone. It is Dr. Nigro again, our next episode of Psychology Unplugged.

Another fun week of talking and interacting with so many of you guys across the globe.

This is really the highlight of my week in doing the podcast on Sunday. We're doing it actually

a little earlier today. Hopefully,

Julie won't make any disruptions since I already went to the store and did grocery shopping

for the week. So as we still try to figure out Instagram, I appreciate on the one post I did

where I'm kind of like pointing a finger to my head, like me thinking about podcast topics,

it's kind of helpful to give me some my head like me thinking about podcast topics.

It's kind of helpful to give me some guidance and direction and Julie and I in terms of what you guys want us to talk about. But again, it's a very humbling and privileged opportunity

to enter so many people's lives. Again, never thinking that this would take off to the

extent and the magnitude that it did.

So much appreciation and thank you.

So you can see how my mind works.

We go from last week talking about psychiatric hospitalizations to this week on a more existential topic about

what really matters.

And, you know, I've alluded to this in multiple episodes that, you know, we live life

on a continuum and a continuum of almost a rote way of living. We get up, we have breakfast,

work out, go to work, come home, have dinner, talk about our day, have a cocktail, go to bed.

It will repeat the cycle. And I think the pandemic kind of caused a shift in that.

And I think the evidence for that is the influx of people into the mental health system in the

middle of the pandemic and currently in just even in Massachusetts, which is really the hub of
