Most summers in Hollywood are exactly the same. Beeping cars creep along the 10

freeway, a thick blanket of heat layers Los Angeles and dozens of blockbuster movies

with huge budgets come out in theaters,

films that are almost always directed by men.

Thankfully, this summer, something different has happened.

The highest grossing movie in theaters last week is not only about a woman superhero,

aptly called Wonder Woman, but it was directed by another woman, Patty Jenkins.

I'm going to talk to Patty today about why it's so difficult to break into Hollywood as a woman and a number of other problems in the industry. to

A little bit it's funny I have had yes I've had my little moments of you know I'm in

New York City right now and I and I like my most beloved thing to do is to skate to speed skate in Central Park.

So I've done that a few times which has been the greatest celebration, but no I haven't gone on vacation or anything.

I've had great times with friends.
