We both thought it would be a good idea to think about a recent passing.

R.C. Sproll, I trust many of you listeners will know, has passed on just this last week

when we hope to publish this. Well, we're talking, we're talking on Friday afternoon. He went

home to be with the Lord yesterday afternoon at 3, about 3, 10 in the afternoon. And so we're

hoping to send us this episode out the next week. Maybe early next week. So you're probably

getting this on Monday or Tuesday,

and so he went through the Lord on December the 14th.

And there's a lot of traffic on the Twitterverse,

on Facebook, people talking about it, people commemorating his life.

Why is he such an important person?

Who is R.C. Sprole, Mark?

Robert Charles Sprole was born near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 1939, and he became a Christian as a young man

and was always particularly concerned about issues of truth and apologetics from his earliest days,

was greatly influenced by John Gersner, who was a Jonathan Edwards scholar and a rare reformed bird

in the old UPC USA, the Northern Presbyterian Church, when it was going pretty mainline liberal

theologically.
