I'm Christy Weepy, founder of the Better Mind Center, where our team of psychotherapists treat

chronic pain one-on-one.

I'm also a recovered chronic pain patient myself.

I remember a time not too many years ago when I had a different doctor for nearly every

part of my body.

And I remember thinking to myself so many times, how is it even

possible that I have neck pain, hamstring pain, pain in both wrists, pain in both knees,

headaches and vertigo all at the same time? Am I made of glass? Am I just super unlucky? Why am I falling apart at the scenes? And like so many of you,

the countless hours I spent scouring the internet and scrambling for answers eventually led me

to a light bulb moment. I stumbled across a list of personality traits, commonly associated with neuroplastic or mind-body

symptoms.

Perfectionist?

Check.

People pleaser?

Check.

Worryer?

Let's double check that one just in case.

And it was that moment of recognition that led me to an understanding that I didn't have dozens of things wrong with dozens of parts of my body, but rather a singular issue related to how my brain was processing things.

And apparently there was a club for people with this issue, and everyone in it was just as high-strung and hyper-vigilant as I was.
