Dr. Berg talks about the worst advice for diabetes. The treatment and solution continue and keep diabetes alive. The dietary recommendations from the ADA of 60% of your diet being carbohydrates keep the blood sugars high, which is the opposite thing you need to do. Then when a person takes medication, they have to prevent low blood sugars (hypoglycemia) by giving you sugar pills, which merely continues diabetes. Because high insulin also causes high blood pressure and high cholesterol, diuretics and beta-blockers are used both increasing the risk of insulin resistance not to mention taking statins, which also increase the risk of diabetes, which then has a higher risk of causing heart disease. Diabetes is a disease of high sugar, so why would anyone want to increase the sugar or create insulin resistances that increase insulin.
