The gaping hole in Trump’s righteous agenda to re-privatize the economy is a plan to fully wean off corporate and individual welfare. Lawmakers are trying to find every way imaginable to solve the debt problem without actually cutting spending. The problem with Trump’s trade policies is that they can’t be viewed in a vacuum. Together with the debt and the failure to solve other problems, there is no broader economic vision.
