Overview

Throughout my training and practice as a physician I have come to one very disappointing conclusion: Western medicine isn’t helping people lead better lives. Now that I’ve realized this, I’ve become obsessed with understanding what makes us healthy or ill. I want to live the best life I can and I want to be able to share this knowledge with others so that they can do the same. This podcast is the result of my relentless search to understand the roots of chronic disease. I hope you’ll join me on this journey.

255. Fake Lighting Is Sabotaging Your Natural Rhythm w/ Tristan Scott

This in-depth conversation with Tristan Scott discusses how light affects our mitochondria and hormones and the importance of limiting blue light for radical health. Ever wondered why your sleep feels off after a long day under harsh digital lights or how a simple incandescent bulb might actually nourish your biology? In this video, I dive headfirst into what our modern light environment—think flickering LEDs, blue light dominance, and missing infrared—really does to our circadian rhythms, energy, and even our mitochondrial health. 254. Simple Health Solutions That Reverse Chronic Disease w/ Radical Health Podcast

In this podcast, we explore the growing health movement and the urgent need to reform our food systems. As a long-time advocate for ancestral health, we discuss the concerning influence of corporate interests and flawed medical narratives. We delve into the dangers of seed oils, which disrupt cellular function and mitochondrial health, causing metabolic issues. I share a strategy for detoxing seed oils quickly using a low linoleic acid diet. We also emphasize the importance of natural light, grounding, and ancestral practices, aligning with our evolutionary biology for optimal health.I share my 2025 "ins and outs," prioritizing real foods like meat, organs, fruit, honey, and raw dairy while minimizing EMF exposure. I advocate for whole, unprocessed foods and caution against trends like methylene blue. For me, it's always meat, organs, fruit, honey, and raw dairy – an ANIMAL-BASED diet, which I believe is optimal. This inspiring conversation encourages personal responsibility, questioning norms, and reclaiming our radical health. --- --- --- 00:00 Introduction to Reposted Podcast00:30 Seed Oil Detox & 2025 Changes01:07 Dr. Saladino on Cultural Health Movement01:38 2025 Health Predictions03:55 Political Momentum for Health Change06:37 Simplifying Food Choices & Ingredients10:54 Food Addiction & Processed Foods13:33 Food as Fuel vs. Harmful Addiction17:41 Discerning Food from Poison21:49 Misalignment of Genetics & Modern Food23:55 Challenging Beliefs & Neurobiology27:38 Benefits & Science of Creatine32:17 The Harms of Seed Oils42:40 Mechanistic Damages of Seed Oils54:44 Detoxing Seed Oils1:03:59 Light Diet & Cellular Health1:07:44 Reconnecting to Ancestral Roots1:11:47 Paul's In's & Out's for 20251:17:13 One Trend Paul Would Like to Die1:20:09 Paul's Parting Words & 2025 Projects --- --- --- DISCLAIMERDr. Paul Saladino received his medical degree from the University of Arizona Medical School. 243. Responding to Layne Norton on SEED OILS

This episode is my response to Layne’s video about seed oils. Due to the pervasive mainstream support for seed oils, I believe it’s extremely important to shed some light on the hidden truth behind these oils. There is a lot of conflicting evidence on seed oils out there. Looking at the totality of the evidence can be very misleading, so we must look at the details. By thoroughly breaking down each trial from Layne’s video, we can see massive flaws in the methods and designs of each study. Trans fat consumption by the control group and multifactorial interventions in the experimental group were the primary confounding variables. In this video, Paul references several studies suggesting different ways in which seed oils are harmful to humans. He always appreciate differing views and these discussions because it’s how we all learn. He has hope that a respectful debate will happen in the future so that we can dive deeper into this important subject. He strongly believe that seed oils are evolutionarily inconsistent, these are not the fats that humans have evolved on. In fact, we have evolved by consuming ample amounts of animal fats, rich in saturated fats. Saturated fats have been shown to lower markers of heart disease and they are an amazing source of essential vitamins like A, D3, K2, E. It's always meat / organs / fruit / honey / raw dairy. This is an ANIMAL-BASED diet, and I believe this is the most optimal diet for humans on the planet.
